Managed, organized, and developed 13 education and community engagement programs with budgets totaling $127,000, ensuring a smooth completion of project tasks.

-Cultivated relationships with community partners, teachers, and unionized professional musicians to increase program engagement and foster program growth

  • Redefined and clarified program goals for longstanding stagnant programs in cost-effective, sustainable, and mission-driven ways

  • Streamlined program processes, mission, marketing methods, and strategies for all 13 department programs

  • Meticulously managed the details of 3 Youth Concert program logistics servicing 70 local elementary and middle schools and 5,500 students total. Overseeing the coordination of 120 volunteers, staff, and musicians on the day of the concerts.

  • Steered a board of directors sub-committee of 10

  • Supervised department staff of five part-time employees and two interns

  • Produced reports for presentation to the board of directors, subcommittees, sponsors, grant proposals, teachers, and community leaders for project support and status.

  • Assisted with the content of grant proposals and sponsorship requests.

  • Maintained patron management system and mail lists

  • Created and wrote a supplementary curriculum for elementary and middle school level programs
     

EDUCATION & VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR: MAY 2017 – JAN. 2018

  • Served as liaison between the symphony and all volunteer activities

  • Supervised and coordinated a volunteer force of 250 volunteers

  • Developed a volunteer database and communication systems and implemented a workflow system for soliciting new volunteers, logging volunteers’ hours, and identifying community partners.

  • Ensured positive volunteer culture by the implementation of new volunteer appreciation programs and events.

  • Oversaw all department program scheduling, set staff schedules and was the primary liaison between community partners, school teachers, administrators, and program staff.

  • Created and wrote a supplementary curriculum for elementary and middle school level programs


PRODUCTION COORDINATOR: NOV. 2015- MAY 2017

  • Meticulously managed all production logistics of summer events, mainstage, youth, and family concerts with an average attendance of 2,500 patrons per event.

  • Managed union contracts and served as the liaison between stagehand union, professional musicians union, rented venue staff, and symphony staff at all events.

  • Coordinated all audio, visual, lighting, and staging rentals or purchases and their delivery schedule for each event

  • Mediated conflicts between union, venue, and musicians at rehearsals and concerts

  • Directed a production team of 8-10 stagehands
